About Education and Advice

Education and advise plays an important role in the rehabilitation process and we are particularly keen to explain to our patients their diagnosis. Understanding your problem can ease stress by abolishing any negative thoughts associated with it. Specific advice on your lifestyle habits including hobbies, sports, or even work/occupational positions can help you adapt and avoid potential aggravating factors which could delay your response to physiotherapy. Our assessments are based on the bio-psychosocial model of care which allows us to be more precise with our impression/diagnosis and extract all the necessary social and psychological information to offer high quality advice. We use anatomy models, diagrams, and images for educational purposes so you can better understand your problem. We always take into consideration your goals or aims so that the advise we offer is tailored to your needs.

If you live in Birmingham and you require an appointment, then please call us on 0121 455 0555 or you can send us an email here.

Why Home Visits?

There is a wide range of benefits of being able to receive physiotherapy at home. Some patients may not be able to travel to the clinic for various reasons and having the option of receiving care at home means that we can cater to everyone. Whether you are struggling to find time to visit our clinic or you have difficulties travelling, you can book our home visit service and one of our expert physiotherapists will be able to visit you at your home.

The benefits of a home visit extend further than just the convenience. It’s also useful for our physiotherapists to understand how your home environment affects your rehabilitation and if there are any lifestyle factors that could be affecting your condition. We can then determine the best route of treatment and rehabilitation that will result in the best outcome for you. For patients that have recently undergone an operation and are recovering at home, a home visit may be an ideal solution for helping them recover quicker and giving the right advice to maintain their health.

What Can Be Expected?

After an appointment has been arranged, one of our expert physiotherapists will visit you at your home. We will bring the necessary equipment to conduct a session and the first session usually starts with a conversation to see what has been affecting you.

This enables our therapists to understand the problems that are causing discomfort or pain and this will help us to establish joint goals. The initial session is very important as it helps us to determine what you would like and how our experts can help assist you best.
